- Yosemite National Park: Sunrise Lakes and Cloud's Rest
Hopes and Fears: Starting with hopes, I really want everybody to enjoy the experience and that they do not become too nervous in situations and to just have fun. I fear that this trip won’t be as exciting as told.
Reflections: Climbing through Dead Fred was AWESOME. And we got to go through multiple times
Challenge Hike: Today was our challenge hike. We climbed to Cloud’s rest which is about 5 miles from our camp. It was intense and I had to lead the group. At first it was downhill but got very steep after. People conquered their fear of heights and when at the top, we had lunch: sun butter, strawberry jelly and tortillas. We got here at a very fast pace. We could see Half Dome, El Capitan and Mt. Watkins from here, best view ever!
Rest Day:
We are at the third and highest Sunrise Lake. It is beautiful and there are TONS of Brook Trout jumping! You can see them very close to shore, and they are good size.
