"I value wilderness very much because it is one of the few things that humans have not touched. It has its own natural beauty and it will always stay that way. The trees were not planted, the animals weren't put here, and the mountains have not been touched. It is these characteristics of wilderness that makes me value it."

"I value experience in life. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing that I did something good in my life and knowing that I got a chance to see something spectacular. Whether it be another country or wilderness, going there to experience it feels good."

"What I learned from nature is that not everything is available when you need it. If you're having a hard time with something, you can't just give up, you have to stick through it. You also have to be well prepared and organized. More importantly, you have to have faith. These lessons can apply to my every day life because I know not to give up on something that seems impossible now. I just have to be prepared for what I have to do and be organized in doing it. I learned from nature what I may not learn anywhere else."
